walking on Eggshells

Published on 29th July 2022

Do you feel like you're walking on eggshells around your child?

Fearful of the volcanic eruptions that could happen at any time?

They can go from calm to rage in a fraction of a second or so it feels. It's almost like they are Jekyll and Hyde. They can be absolutely gorgeous, and they can be just the worst you could ever imagine - they're defiant, manipulative, violent, aggressive.

I've walked in your shoes. I was the parent of an adopted boy who came to me with such challenging behaviour. He was age three - hold my phone over the toilet if he didn't get what he wanted it. Now, now that hostage situation got worse as he got older. Until I discovered something called Nonviolent Resistance, which was a whole new way of parenting and completely turned things around and I trained in it professionally, to help other parents turn things around in their family.

My name is Gill Tree, I'm the founder of Stressed Parent, go to stressedparent.co.uk Have a look at my ecourse From Hostility to Harmony.
