What have you got to lose?
I know some families I work with are reluctant, for fear of being rejected. That could happen. You will not change your child overnight! But drip drip drip feed all the aspects of the intervention I teach, and you will see change and improvement in small increments over time which add up to something significant that lasts.
I used to have a job part of which involved making sales calls which I hated. I found the rejection so darn hard. It was when I went on a sales course, and they explained that nos are good! Each no gets you to a yes! So, how many rejections are you willing to receive knowing that eventually with persistence things will change?
In fact, getting some support and learning some new parenting tools can give you some hope, which in itself can be enough to begin the changes you are so desperate to see.
The approach I teach called Non-Violent resistance is a planned approach. We need to pre-empt what happens when there is a disagreement, an escalation or what I call a volcanic eruption and do things to resist that behaviour.
So, if you have a door banger, get door stops! They throw ornaments? Put them all away.
It is not the only thing you will need to do, but it is a good start in giving the message: This behaviour is not ok and has to stop!
Good luck on beginning this journey and click here if you want me on your team
The cost of the e-course is a whole lot less than a broken door
